Screening of Award Winning Film, Crime After Crime

CORA - San Mateo County's only agency with the sole purpose of serving victims/survivors of domestic violence and abuse - is pleased to present a special screening of the award-winning documentary film, Crime After Crime.

Crime After Crime tells the story of the battle to free Debbie Peagler an incarcerated survivor of brutal domestic violence.  Over 26 years in prison cannot crush the spirit of this determined woman.  Her story takes an unexpected turn when a pair of rookie land-use attorneys cut their teeth on her case and attract global attention to the troubled intersection of domestic violence and criminal justice.

Crime After Crime was an official selection at Sundance 2011 and has won numerous awards at film festivals in the US and abroad.
