Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church Variety Show

Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church is excited to exhibit its parishioners’ variety of talents, while featuring other community talent.  A one-night performance will be on November 12, 2011, 7PM, at the parish hall, 1133 Cortez, Burlingame. This event is open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.00.

The show promises to offer entertainment for all.  It will present dancers of all ethnicity – Filipino, Hawaiian, and Bollywood.  Father Brian McKenna will croon an Irish ballad, accompanied on the guitar by Keith NcNamara.  Daniel Ordonez is guaranteed to get the crowd clapping with Mexican Mariachi songs.  Enjoy the deep tones of Dan Dowrick singing “Old Man River”.  Two very talented high school students – Veronica Ortiz and Amanda Parola – will perform “Marry The Man Today” from the musical Guys and Dolls, while siblings Nico and Chelsea Collins accompany themselves on the piano with songs by Adele and Taylor Swift, and thrill the audience with their blended harmonies in a duet.

Of course, the variety show will unveil a vaudeville skit performed by Dan Porter and Quentin Olwell, a special visit of “Dracula” by Liz Hannan and a combination of Wizard of Oz characters by Kay (Kiki) Arnaudo.  The “Diamond Lils” will also make the audience laugh.

No show is complete without a surprise or two, but the Bay area community will have to attend to experience these! Dan Dowrick is the Director and Cathy Foxhoven will be the Mistress of Ceremonies.
