The Burlingame Public Library would like to encourage babies, toddlers, and preschool children to join the Listener’s Summer Reading program with their parents and listen to stories this summer!  This year’s theme is “Traveling Tales” and children who listen to 20 books between June 13 and July 31 will receive a paperback book of their choice.  Weekly events include a prize raffle and free Family Fun Nights featuring live entertainment.

     The library offers Summer Reading Clubs for all ages, from pre-readers to adults, so the whole family can participate.  The library offers thousands of wonderful books and media for all ages and it is all free with your library card.

 

      Reading logs are available in the library starting May 23rd and online at www.burlingame.org/library.  For more information about summer reading programs at the library, check our website or call the Children’s Desk at (650) 558-7400, ext. 3.

“One World Many Stories”

 

Summer is coming quickly and the Burlingame Public Library would like to encourage elementary age students to join the Summer Reading program!  This year’s theme is “One World Many Stories” and children who read and report on six books between June 13 and July 31 will receive a paperback book of their choice and a chance to win the large library lion grand prize.  Weekly events include a prize raffle and free Family Fun Nights featuring live entertainment.

 

     The library offers Summer Reading Clubs for all ages, from pre-readers to adults, so the whole family can participate.  Children who continue reading during the summer are better prepared for the new semester in the fall.  The library offers thousands of wonderful books and media for all ages and it is all free with your library card.

The Burlingame Public Library Teen Summer Reading Club is June 13 – July 31!

Starting May 23rd teens entering grades 6 - 12 in the Fall can pick up a Reading Log OR register online at: www.burlingame.org/library/teens

 

Participating is easy!  Just read 4 age appropriate books and write them up in your reading log along with a brief comment about the book, (or use the online log) and receive a $10 gift card from Books, Inc. (limit one gift card per person).

 

Also, teens can enter a weekly raffle for great gift card prizes. It’s simple – come to the Burlingame Public Library or the Easton Branch, fill out a card telling us something about the book you read, and enter it in the drawing!

Why should the kids have all the fun?  Burlingame Public Library has a summer reading program (June 13-July 31) just for adults!  Read 3 books or more and become eligible for our Grand Prize – a 5 piece set of All-Clad Stainless Steel Cookware.  That’s not all – every week you are entered into a raffle for prizes!  We have 5 great programs for you this summer including olive oil tasting, museum docent lectures and more.
