CONCERT IN THE PARK

LOS GATOS CREEK CLEANUP

California State Senator Jim Beall is hosting a volunteer committee to help clean the banks of Los Gatos Creek through Campbell from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. PALO ALTO FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

More than 300 artisans offering a multitude of crafts from jewelry, sculptures and paintings will highlight the 32nd Annual Palo Alto Festival of the Arts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 along University Avenue in downtown Palo Alto. Other attractions include a Kids’ Art Studio, various street artists, and numerous gourmet food vendors. Admission is free. For details, call 650-324-3121.

 

COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

The 12th Annual Sheriff’s Office of San Mateo North Fair Oaks Community Festival is set for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 along Middlefield Road, between First and Fifth avenues, Redwood City. The free event will include live music and dance, a  parade, children’s activities and food booths. Proceeds benefit San Mateo County Sheriff’s Youth Programs. For details, call 650-368-2497.

 

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO FARMERS MARKET

Look for a wide selection of locally-grown fresh seasonal vegetables, eggs, baked goods and other foods at the South San Francisco Farmers Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at Orange Memorial Park, on Orange Avenue at Tennis Drive. Admission is free.

 

CAMPBELL FARMERS MARKET

Stop on by for fresh produce from local growers and while you’re there check out offerings from local craft vendors from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 outdoors along Campbell Avenue in downtown Campbell. Admission is free. For details, call 408-745-7100.

 

SAN BRUNO FARMERS MARKET
