Wednesday kicked off the fall season of the Burlingame Art Society, featuring San Francisco artist Mark Monsarrat. Monsarrat, a plein air artist, visited the society members and gave a demonstration on techniques for improving paintings.
Members gathered at 7 p.m. in the Lions Club Hall with their own paintings in hand.
The Burlingame Art Society meets the first Wednesday of the month, and the event is free and open to the public. This was the group's first meeting in three months following its summer break.
Each month features a different professional artist.
