What's on tap for this week? Keep an eye out for these events and stories this week. We'll be there to cover them.
- The Hillsborough Classic takes place Monday. In its 32nd year, the community event includes tennis, fashion, shopping and lunch, benefitting the Hillsborough Schools Foundation.
- The Burlingame Public Library will host a Presidential Debate viewing Monday in the Lane Community Room at 6 p.m.
- The Burlingame Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. in City Hall Monday.
- Learn how to get ebooks on your Kindle during a Burlingame Public Library Hands-on Computer Class Tuesday. Register by calling 650-558-7407 or emailing piche@plsinfo.org. Space is limited.
- The Burlingame School District Board of Trustees meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the District office.
- College of San Mateo professor Frank Damon will give a lecture on the Presidential debates and how they affect the outcome of the election at the Burlingame Public Library Wednesday.
- Looking for a job? The Burlingame Public Library will hold a Job Search Review session at 10 a.m. Thursday.
- A CPR class will be held at Fire Station 34 Thursday at 6 p.m. Registration is required.
- The McKinley Elementary School Harvest Festival takes place Friday and Saturday. The festival and haunted mansion event is the school’s largest fundraiser.
- The Burlingame High School Play-a-Thon takes place Saturday. The BHS band and Choir will perform outside of the Burlingame Train Station from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., with parades at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The fundraiser helps music programs at BHS and is a well-known tradition in Burlingame.
