Last Chance: Connect With Your Neighbors
Today is the last day for residents to sign-up for this Thursday Neighborhood Network event.
The Burlingame Neighborhood Network (BNN) invites community members to an educational meeting Thursday, May 31 on how residents can connect with neighbors through forming a Neighborhood Network group. But residents must RSVP by Tuesday, May 29 to info@theneighborhoodnetwork.org.
Studies show that in neighborhoods where residents know each other, there is a better chance of disaster survival. At this meeting, citizens will learn to connect through Nextdoor, a free, social networking site.
John Martos, BNN Chair, will speak at the meeting about simple steps for community building in the neighborhood. Robbie Turner of Nextdoor will be on hand to explain and answer questions about the site.
