Recent rains have produced wonderful conditions for local wildflower growth in the Mills Canyon Nature Preserve. The Friends of Mills Canyon are sponsoring a guided wildflower Hike this Saturday. Werner Schumann will lead this tour of multiple wildflower species on the trail. Everyone interested should meet at 9:45 a.m. at the entrance across from 3000 Arguello Drive, Burlingame.
Friends of Mills Canyon is the nonprofit, volunteer organization that sponsors this event and other monthly activities in this beautiful preserve. FOMC hikes allow Burlingame adults and children to learn about the flora, fauna, and creek flow characteristics of the beautiful, pastoral ecosystem nestled be- tween Skyline Drive and Mercy High School.
