Police Blotter: Man Has Trouble With Suspenders

Saturday, November 24

8:59 a.m. A car was towed from the 1700 block of Marco Polo Way for having excessive outstanding parking tickets.

10:51 a.m A quarter jammed a parking meter on the 1300 block of Howard Avenue.

11:16 a.m. A hotel guest got a car stuck on the hotel's grass on the 700 block of Airport Boulevard.

6:09 a.m. A resident reported a damaged storage unit door on the 1400 block of Bellevue Avenue. Nothing had been stolen.

Sunday, November 25

12:28 a.m. A woman's home was broken into on the 1100 block of Chula Vista Avenue.

4:14 a.m. A resident reported there was a strange car driving slowly through the area of Hillside Lane and Loma Vista Drive.

1:06 p.m. A resident asked police to check on an elderly man on the 1400 block of Burlingame Avenue who was having a hard time keeping his pants up. It turned out he was using suspenders for the first time.

4:07 p.m. There was a report of a vehicle fire on the 2800 block of Adeline Drive.

7:18 p.m. A hotel guest's car window on the 1200 block of Bayshore Highway was smashed. A jacket and backpack were stolen.

Monday, November 26

12:42 a.m. A resident reported to police seeing flashing lights outside her home on the 100 block of Elm Avenue and hearing someone running. Her neighbors had been recently dropped off by a cab.

7:41 a.m. A resident on the 2800 block of Easton Drive reported her christmas wreath had been vandalized.

12:41 p.m. A man reported finding a damaged bike on his lawn on the 100 block of Howard Avenue.

8:16 p.m. A woman at Burlingame Avenue and Park Road reported that an acquaintance tried to run her over.

Tuesday, November 27

11:04 a.m. A resident on the 3000 block of Alcazar Drive reported missing silverware.

12:06 p.m. A woman reported her car had been stolen. However, she was mistaken and officers located the car.
